Nature´s Ice Palace on Hintertux Glacier

Nature’s Ice Palace at the Hintertux Glacier is a natural gem, unique worldwide and an ideal year round excursion destination for the whole family.

On guided tours, visitors are asked to „Step inside” to this wonderful world deep beneath the ski slopes and discover a glacial crevasse with magical ice stalactites, giant sparkling ice crystals, frozen waterfalls and even a glacial lake.

Spannagel Cave in Hintertux

The Spannagel Cave at the Hintertux Glacier is Europe’s highest altitude publicly accessible cave and a very worthwhile day trip destination for families with children.

With a measured length of around 12.5 km it is the largest rock cave system in the Central Alps, 500 metres of which can be experienced by visitors on a guided tour.
